My passion for therapeutic work has developed over the last 10 years working with adolescents and adults in wilderness, office, and community settings. I have found that deep level healing occurs in mindful relationship with others, seeing and experiencing this has laid the foundation for my practice. I have trainings in Virginia Satir's family systems model, Douglas Brady's Psychology of Symptoms technique and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I work from a body-based perspective with attachment, trauma, sexuality issues, addictions, physical pain and illness, and gender issues, to name a few.

My role as therapist is to accompany my clients on their journey and to be an active participant in their process. I firmly believe that our natural inclination as humans is to move towards healing and wholeness. We do the best we can with what we have at any moment, thus all our painful behaviors, patterns, and suffering spring from this desire for wholeness. Eventually our best thinking begins to produce more pain than it mitigates and we are at a loss for what to do next. At this point we seek help, and eventually come to realize that when we don't know what to do next we have entered the point of all healing and creativity.
