Robyn Temple Michael Moore - (Video One) Michael Describes the Issue

Robin Temple is a family therapist who has been working educationally and therapeutically with families for the past 30 years. She is a PAIRS Master Teacher and Trainer, and has also trained in Couple's Communication with Dr. Sherod Miller and Relationship Enhancement with Dr. Bernard Guerney. She holds post-Masters certification from the Family Therapy Training Center of Colorado, and the Gestalt Institute of Denver.

In addition to private counseling, Robin teaches the Basic True Love Seminar. This 13-hour class introduces tools for listening, confiding, clearing up misunderstandings and enriching your relationships. These are practical skills that are effective with partners, as well as friends and family.

Together with her husband, Michael Moore, Robin also teaches the PAIRS Passion Weekend. It is based on a collaboration between Dr. Pat Love, award-winning writer and couple's counselor, and the PAIRS Foundation.

"Underneath most couples' fights, there is a biological difference that drives men and women apart. A woman's vulnerability to fear and anxiety makes her draw closer, while a man's subtle sensitivity to shame and failure makes him pull away. This is why... improving a marriage cannot happen [only] through words.

"One of the greatest threats to a love relationship is lack of passion--the life energy that fuels the intense and exciting relationships we long for."

Dr. Pat Love, author of Hot Monogamy

Quotes from local PAIRS course graduates:

"The course has changed patterns I've been working with in therapy for 10 or 15 years and could not budge. We were going over the edge and did not have any options. You threw us a lifeline with your commitment, your compassion, and your devotion to getting us the material in an effective way."

"My parents can now fight, get over it, and still be loving."

"We have discovered more intimacy than has been present in 28 years--very, very heartwarming."

"This course was one of the most valuable things I have ever done. It has allowed us to really enjoy our life."

"This gave me a greater appreciation for my wife than I could have ever imagined."

"I feel deeply nourished by this time with my partner--it has been a wonderfully delightful surprise. Thank you for your expertise and wisdom in guiding us through some difficult territory."

"[After taking the course] I feel like a man who has gotten out of a bad marriage and is having a fling with someone else... and I am glad to have the depth from having stuck with this one. I have passion and commitment at the same time."
