Dreams can serve as a catalyst to psychological change. They help us directly approach core issues by bypassing ego defenses and structures. Fritz Perls, one of the founders of Gestalt Therapy, claimed that “ dreams are an existential message”. What he meant was that dreams communicate to us in a nonlinear form about the nature of our existence.
The exploration of dreams can be a playful vehicle for transformation. A dream group has the advantage of amplifying your communication with dreams through consistent contact with your own dreams and the dreams of other group members. Often the dreams of others become part of the language of our own dreams, resulting in a deepening of relationships between group members.
The approach used in this group is derived from Applied Existential Psychotherapy (AEP), the method developed and taught at the Boulder Psychotherapy Institute. Instead of interpreting and analyzing your dreams, you will play the dream’s characters (every person and thing in the dream) as a way of allowing the dream to communicate its existential message. The basic assumption is that “every part of a dream is you.” And the dream is a vital communication from you to you. The ability to hear that communication becomes amplified and expanded in a dream group.
We will meet on the first Saturday of each month from 10am Mountain Time until 1pm, starting in March. Please feel free to contact Robyn for further information. Her email is Robyn3899@gmail.com, or you may text her at 720 841 1836. Any phone calls must be made through either the WhatsApp or Signal apps.
This is a practice process group. You will also have the opportunity to explore the dreams of other group members while being coached by the group facilitator. You will learn how to facilitate dream exploration from an AEP perspective. You can receive credit toward AEP certification for the Dream Class after 48 hours of attendance.
Cost for each three hour session is $90. There is a four-session initial commitment. The group meets once a month and begins on 05/03/2026 You may receive a 10% discount by paying for all 10 groups a year in advance.
Robyn Chauvin, MA, LPC is a trainer at the Boulder Psychotherapy Institute. She is trained in Applied Existential Psychotherapy (AEP), Gestalt, Psychodrama, and the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery in Music. She is familiar with Jungian as well as AEP and Gestalt approaches to dreams. She has over 30 years experience in hospice, inpatient psychiatric work and private practice psychotherapy working with individuals, couples and groups. She teaches classes and supervises students at BPI.

Name: Robyn Chauvin
Email: robyn3899@gmail.com

About your facilitators:
Austin Balfany believes healing unfolds through connection—to self, to community, to lineage, and to the living world that holds us. His work is rooted in the understanding that the body carries its own wisdom, that emotion is a form of intelligence, and that healing happens as we tend the places where connection and disconnection live within us.
Austin integrates somatic awareness, mindfulness, wilderness therapy, experiential and parts-based approaches, and brings a trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming lens to his work. Drawing on years of guiding youth and families in wilderness settings, Austin is passionate about weaving queer resilience, rites of passage, and embodied connection into therapeutic spaces. He believes choice is an act of empowerment—and that joy is a brilliant, radical force.

Nikolaia Patterson, MTS believes the most important relationship we can all cultivate is the relationship we have with ourselves. She hopes to be your advocate in your deepening relationship with yourself, and to bring compassion and curiosity to your inner world.
In her therapeutic work, Niki brings an orientation towards the nervous system’s incredible healing capacity and its ability to help us meet the present moment in the most attuned and authentic way. She is trained in Hakomi, a mindfulness-based, somatic therapy modality, and in Authentic Relating, a group facilitation modality geared toward honest, connected communication. Niki has experience facilitating groups in corporate, academic, and therapeutic contexts.
Hi Colleagues, I'm excited to share a new therapy group geared towards clients who are introspective, curious, and are driven by insight, but are struggling with putting their ideas to action. These individuals may often be called "overthinkers" and "intellectualizers" and other unhelpful/limiting terms.

Ignited Ideas promotes a different solution: getting together in a group setting, diving into new ideas, and making them always tied to practice. Each session will be oriented around a new idea and, more importantly, how to put the idea to work.

If you have a client who might be interested in this additional work alongside their individual therapy, please reach out to me or pass my info along to them.

Dear All, “palliative care” is often misinterpreted as end-of-life hospice care, but it is actually a collection of specialized approaches to serious illness that brings relief from medical symptoms and physical or mental pain and stress. None of us are getting any younger. A large part of reducing anxiety about illness is becoming knowledgeable about the myriads of options that exist to help people improve their quality of life even when they are confronted with a serious illness. Palliative care is often given alongside curative treatments at any stage of an illness. Come and learn what’s possible at the leading edge of innovative care for you and me, if, and when, each of us might benefit. Here’s the program being presented:
The Center for the Study of Aging and Clinical Applications (CSACA) at the New Washington School of Psychiatry
Program Description:

This interdisciplinary workshop brings together leading clinicians in geriatrics, psychiatry, social work, and palliative care to explore how professionals can better support older adults and their families navigating serious illness. Older adults living with chronic, serious illness face far more than medical challenges. Persistent pain, anticipatory grief, difficult care decisions, and questions about meaning, dignity, and dependency often shape the experience of later life.

Through clinical presentations, case discussion, and experiential reflection, participants will examine practical approaches to advance care planning, grief and loss, chronic pain, and the psychological realities of living with serious illness in later life. Keynote speaker Joanne Lynn, MD, a national leader in palliative care and health policy, will frame the day with insights on aligning care with patients’ values, function, and goals.
