Applied Existential Psychotherapy
Gestalt Therapy

If you're not living the life you want, why not? Diane Doe is an involved therapist who can help you change. She calls her model of therapy Diligent Self Care. Diane's concept of diligent self care derives from insight into the subtle forms of self neglect. Even equipped with intellectual self knowledge and an interpretation of our own stories, we may fall prey to self entrapment, preventing us from being emotionally present with self and others. Diane uses various modalities to help you look at underlying issues for personal transformation and freer, more creative living. She has ten years training in Gestalt therapy and other modalities. Her special interests include helping develop internal and external support for an abundant life, issues of self neglect, abandonment issues, writing and creativity, and emotional enhancement for care givers, especially psychotherapy professionals. Diane is a Teaching Associate at the Boulder Psychotherapy Institute. She does practice and process groups and assists in other trainings. Diane is a creative writer and former business owner, with expertise in business problems and with writing and creativity blocks. She was staff assistant to Roger Ebert, film critic. She is a psychotherapist in private practice in Boulder with expertise in Gestalt therapy, group therapy, psychodynamic, body oriented and family systems modalities.
