PSYCHOTHERAPY and BEYOND: Clear Your Core Issues and Step into your Fullness of Being

Have you been 'working on yourself' for a while but still find that the lasting changes you've been longing for continue to elude you? Or perhaps, the peace of mind and emotional balance you've been seeking come and go with the ups and downs of life.

Are you able to intellectually understand your issues but, despite your insight, continue to find yourself repeating the same old patterns? Why is it that so many of us who have been trying hard through therapy, self-help or spiritual practices, still find ourselves hooked by old issues and triggers? We feel pulled out of the present moment - and can get caught in the "I got it, I lost it" cycle - feeling connected to our spiritual essence or well-being and then seemingly "losing touch" with it again.

Many of our best efforts to change don't succeed for a couple of reasons. One, because we have not fully cleared our core conditioning (automatic patterns, beliefs, emotional reactions), which still trigger us because they lie buried in our primitive brain and nervous system, out of reach of our rational, conscious mind. And two, because we haven't learned to tap into and rest in our natural sense of freedom, comfort and soothing peace that doesn't come and go, that is always available, even in the midst of our busy minds, emotional issues, and physical challenges.

This space of natural freedom is sometimes referred to as the 'ultimate medicine' because it naturally transforms and dissolves intense emotions and sensations without ignoring them, thus opening us to an all-inclusive state of fundamental peace and fulfillment.

I offer a blend of cutting edge psychotherapy and easily accessible, nondual spirituality that addresses both of the above reasons that change hasn't been successful. The blend of these two approaches will help you clear the automatic, reactive patterns/issues that have been obstacles to making positive changes -- and will support you in resting in the healing state of natural freedom and peace - referred to by various traditions as 'healing bliss,' 'love,' 'spacious presence', 'conscious spirit'. Once you know how to access it, you will fi nd this peaceful state increasingly permeating your day to day life, as it is always readily available.

How do the therapeutic tools work? The advanced therapeutic techniques of Brainspotting and EMDR can release painful emotions, change difficult behavior patterns and reduce reactions/triggers to situations and relationships. They work by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma and other difficult symptoms that are lodged in the deep limbic brain and nervous system.

In addition, I use the therapeutic tools of hypnotherapy and energy work to clear unconscious obstacles and enhance your inherent strengths. In combination, these deeply effective methods can also liberate constricted energies that have blocked your experience of 'natural freedom' and help you open to this ultimate state.

What can you expect from a session? I have a warm, down to earth style, which is compassionate as well as insightful/ intuitive. My clients report experiencing a sense of profound, positive release and lightness after most sessions. The therapeutic methods of Brainspotting, EMDR and hypnosis are gentle, yet penetrating. There is a sense of spontaneity and often surprise in how one moves organically toward healing. Also, as we work together, you can expect to easily recognize the state of peace, comfort and security inside yourself, naturally available in each moment. As we slip into that ultimate state together, you will feel your needs being fulfilled from within and can rest in a space where 'nothing is missing'.

I would be happy to talk to you. Please phone or email to request a free half hour initial consultation or to schedule a session -- and start on your road to healing.

Exploring ‘Spacious Presence’ Group Meditation that happens by itself: the ultimate practice of no practice · When we relax out of the mind for a brief moment - we experience the soothing energy and clarity of spacious presence. · From the first time we relax into this awareness, we feel relief from our usual preoccupations and difficulties. · When we rest in spacious presence, there are no problems or solutions, as nothing is missing. There’s nowhere further to go. · All experiences are included – no thoughts, feelings or sensations need to be left out or bypassed. We will access and play in spacious presence through: · Recognizing that the peace we are seeking is already here; · Specific conversations and inquiry designed to lead us into a spacious, unstructured state · Allowing intense emotions to transform and dissolve
