My therapeutic approach is one of a mutt. I take aspects of Client-Centered Therapy and combine them with Gestalt and Existential Psychotherapy. At the foundation of my approach to therapy are profound listening skills which allow my client to fully emerge and to bring to the session whatever is present in their awareness. I use Gestalt techniques to work with the content of the therapy session; allowing the client to work with their story line in a way that brings that story line into the present by working with aspects of themselves that are at odds with each other. I work to establish a "felt sense" with clients in order to create a more holistic sense of a problem or unresolved situation.

Implicit in my therapeutic approach is the idea that the client must do the work themselves. As a therapist I am there to light the way along the path of growth. I endeavor to create a safe environment free from judgment. In my eyes the therapeutic environment is a playground to process the trials of one's life.

My professional life has been varied. I have worked extensively in customer service and sales, I have also worked in public relations and journalism and I have found my passion in psychology and therapy. I enjoy psychology and working with people therapeutically because I am able to utilize every part of myself when working with another person. I can empathize with many people from different walks of life because I have had a wide variety of experiences. I currently work with adults in transition and aspire to include working with children and groups. I challenge myself to expand my knowledge base which includes learning more about the effects of trauma in every day life. Above all, I am a motivated, passionate, person which translates to my work therapeutically.
